Driving, vacations, long weekends and day trips, not to mention the cold weather conditions, all put extra strain on your vehicle.

It's time to make sure your Toyota is running right so you can enjoy the next several months of trouble-free driving. That's why we encourage you to follow the Car Care Tips listed here for getting your Toyota in shape for winter driving. Of course, if you require professional assistance with vehicle maintenance or repair, your local Toyota dealership is the best choice, with the best-equipped, best-trained and most knowledgeable technicians to work on your Toyota vehicle.

Engine Oil
One of the most beneficial things you can do to maintain the performance, and extend the life, of your Toyota vehicle is changing the oil and oil filter on a regular basis. At the same time, replace Genuine Toyota Air Filter and/or Cabin Air Filter if needed. Most Toyota dealerships offer Express Lube/Express Lube PLUS oil change service that gets you in and out of the dealership quickly.

Tires
You, or your dealer, should check your tire tread for unusual or excessive wear. In addition, many Toyota Dealerships have full-service Tire Centers to replace worn tires.

Cooling System
Many factors other than outside temperature can affect this system and impair its ability to keep your engine operating within the proper temperature range. So have the radiator checked, along with the hoses and hose connections; drain and replace antifreeze if necessary with Genuine Toyota Antifreeze/Coolant.

Battery
Have your battery tested and replaced if necessary with a True Start or True battery to ensure reliable starting.

Wiper Blades
There's no need to live with wiper blades that streak, chatter and leave your windshield smudged! New Genuine Toyota Wiper Blades can make a world of difference. Just replacing the rubber Blade Inserts themselves may be all that's needed.

Brakes
You can't prevent brake components from wearing, but you can make sure your braking system is functioning at peak performance. Have your Toyota dealership check your breaks for wear. If necessary, they'll make any repairs with Genuine Toyota Brake Parts.
