Lia Toyota of Colonie

I hope Toyota International is aware of the gem they have in Lia Toyota, Central Avenue, Albany/Schenectady, NY.

Here is the story of my recent Toyota experience:

Following the Toyota Web site advice to contact my local dealer for information about the recall that had just hit the news. I tried without success to reach the dealer in Latham where we bought our Avalon. Failing to get any information, I stopped in at the Latham dealership service department. My questions were met with rude, defensive responses from the three people sitting at the service desk. The service manager was not present. I gave up completely, decided that I would never subject myself to that mistreatment again, and sought help from Lia Toyota.

I received an immediate appointment at Lia Toyota, and when I drove into the immaculate service area, I was welcomed with courteous, professional help. After giving the service representative the requested information, I was accompanied into the main area and introduced to Mike, the service advisor. He was tremendously helpful, answered my questions, looked up some information I needed, and then made sure I was comfortable while waiting for my ride to my office. At noon, he called me at work to tell me my car was ready. When I arrived to pick it up, he completed my paperwork and showed me where to watch for the man who would bring the car around to the parking lot for me. I couldn't have asked for anything more ideal. It made my day.

The service was wonderful, the gift cards were a very pleasant surprise - and you, Mr. Rosen, should be congratulated for hiring such good people and for putting some of the luster back into Toyota's tarnished global image. I was treated like what I am - a well-educated older woman whose husband, Robert Spearman, was wise and generous enough to buy the Avalon we love. Because of you we will definitely continue to be Lia Toyota customers. Thank you.

I wanted to let you know that I sent an e-mail to a gentlemen at the Times Union praising Lia Toyota of Colonie's staff. In spite of this recall, I will continue to buy Toyotas. I am very happy with my service at Lia Toyota of Colonie and will see you on Wednesday to get my car fixed. I love my Toyota and have loved everyone I have ever had. I will stick by you. I also plan to buy a bunch of Toyota stock in a few weeks.

I actually want to say that for both recalls (brake & accelerator), I have found the service staff at Lia Toyota of Colonie to be outstanding. They are professional & courteous and stick to their stated time schedule in completing all work. In addition, the ability to schedule appointments and then wait for my vehicle while the work is being performed is greatly appreciated.
