A Level Technician $60K - $120K+/year
ASE certification preferred
$3,000 sign on bonus available at manager's discretion
B/C Level Technician $36K - $60K/year

$1,500 sign on bonus available at manager's discretion
Express Service Technician $32K - $36K/year
Position paid hourly. Experience preferred but not required, training and basic tools will be provided.

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Yes, the shop is both heated and air conditioned.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
There are 24 total techs with 13 advisors, 2 managers, 5 porters.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Shop hours are 7am-7pm Mon-Thurs, 7am -6pm Fri, 8am-530pm Sat, closed Sun.
Shift timeframes - 7am-4:30pm, 8-5pm one late night and every other Saturday.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We have an alignment and tire checker in lane and provide brake lathes (2), alignment machine and tire balancers (2).
What type of break room facility is provided?
Clean and spacious break room with a sink, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker.
How many bays does your shop have?
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Typically around 2000 per month.
What is your parts ordering process?
Tech sends part needed through our system which communicates with the parts team to then order the part.
What is your policy on side work?
Techs can work on own vehicle but no side work, all repairs need to be on an RO and charged accordingly.

Clean, safe work environment with all the special tools you need to succeed.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Full Toyota training is provided, dealership will pay for ASE certification.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
There are plenty of opportunities for growth within our department. We have countless examples of express techs moving up to become a line tech, line techs becoming expert, and experts becoming a master or specialist. Within the Lia Auto Group, you also have opportunity to become shop foreman or manager either at this store or at another of the 21 dealerships.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Every year we meet and have a discussion with each tech regarding performance and growth.
What type of safety training is required?
A/C certified, NYSI, and Safety Certification through ENYCAR are required after being hired. At the express level these are not required but preferred. At the line tech level NYSI is a must, others preferred.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
We work with BOCES and colleges in the area such as Columbia-Green and Hudson Valley to bring on interns and express techs to be mentored by our more seasoned technicians. After learning from our higher level techs, we have had several successful techs stay on with us.
Where do you see the shop in five years?
Continuing to grow and remain the #1 Toyota Store in the Northeast as we were in 2021.
Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?
We do have an online application and it usually takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Applicants are screened by the hiring manager and then an in person or phone interview is scheduled.
What do your in-person interviews entail?
One on one question and answer with the hiring manager.
Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?
Background and MVR are conducted prior to offer and with hire being contingent to outcome.
Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Depending on the number of applicants and results from Background & MVR which varies
How is onboarding completed for new hires?
Approved applicants complete online onboarding once approved for hire
